The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is a multiple-choice test designed to measure a child’s academic aptitude and gifted abilities. The CogAT Form 7, the most common version of the test, measures cognitive development and problem-solving test is made up of three sections, called batteries: Verbal Battery; Quantitative Battery; Nonverbal Battery.

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT*), published by Riverside Publishing, Multilevel Edition tests are commonly given to 3rd grade students and above (and sometimes students in 2nd grade), although it depends on what test your school/program provides and the test level that they use for your grade level/5(22).

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) Multilevel Edition tests are given to 3rd grade students and above (although some students in second grade can be given the Multilevel Edition instead of the Primary Edition - check with your school).

In the CogAT Form 6 exam, the Multilevel Ediiton levels are A - H.
